Yiannis Karakasis MW is the youngest Master of Wine (Vintage 2015) in Greece and southeastern Europe. He started his carreer from the Hellenic Navy flying helicopters as a pilot before he turned things around by 180° in 2011 to follow his passion for wine. Perhaps he was also motivated by the 'mythical' 'amount of money thrown at his feet by large multinational companies...
